Most overrated

Rickie Fowler was voted BY HIS PEERS as the most overrated golfer. He won the Players Championship on Sunday in pretty impression fashion.

Bryce Harper was voted BY HIS PEERS as the most overrated baseball player. He's hit .300 with 11 dingers (1st in NL) and 28 RBIs (2nd in NL) in the first 31 games.

I guess the point here is that athletes are dumb.

 

Or you are overrated until you aren't.

Fowler played well yesterday and he has been one of the best, more consistent players on the Tour for several years, but he has very few wins to show for it.
Isn't he the first guy to notch top five finishes in all four majors in a year, which is impressive .... except for the fact he didn't win any of them.
He has two wins. Two. In six years on the tour full time, he's won twice.
There's a buttload of players with that many wins on Tour and hell of a lot less talent.
One win - impressive as it was - hardly has him achieving his potential.


I do hope yesterday gives him some final round confidence to collect some more Sunday trophies.

 

You know what's overrated? Polling players on who is move overrated.

What does it mean? They are envious or don't like the guy?

Gets more attention than he deserves?

How do you judge that?

 

Winner winner, chicken dinner.

 

Maybe Fowler's clothes are overrated and make people compare him to Justin Bieber. Puke.

 

And pretty catty, too.

Really? The question is who is most overrated, so they could either not answer, and not be included in the poll, or give someone. Doesn't somebody have to win this poll? How would it have turned out had they not been catty?

 

I'll rephrase: The entire idea of polling such a thing is catty.

 

But that's the journalist, not the players.

 

The players could just STFU and not answer. That's what I'd do. Answering serves no useful purpose that I can see.

 

We have no idea how many did just that.
