Pesci taken to what he thought was Tribeca but was instead just an empty room.

I would say it holds up better than the Godfather movies, which I also love.

I watched it very recently. Michael Imperioli was on WTF recently and was talking about what it was like filming that and how intimidating it was to be working with Pesci and DeNiro when he was so young. After the interview, I had to watch it again. It had been a few years, but it's still every bit as outstanding as it ever was.

What happened to Pesci? I know he didn't do much between Raging Bull and the Lethal Weapon 2/Goodfellas time. Then it seemed like he was everywhere for about 5-7 years and then he basically disappeared after Casino/the last Lethal Weapon.

Still can't believe Henry Hill was the crook who "partnered" with those Boston College players to shave points.

Pretty sure he retired from acting shortly after the last Lethal Weapon.

He retired in 1999 and I think has only done cameos, small parts or Snickers commercials since.

His bio said he starred in some movie in 2010 that I've never heard of.

He was never one of those guys who worked a ton, even after Raging Bull. I'm assuming that was by choice.

Right after Lethal Weapon 2/Goodfellas/Home Alone, he worked a ton, but most of those look like big paycheck films. It looks like a mix of Scorsese, sequels and bad movies.

Go find the original SI article. I think it's the best investigative piece I've ever read in SI. I met the author when I was in college and the story behind the story was almost as crazy. He went to the airport and was met by a handler for the FBI who brought him to where Hill was in hiding. Just crazy stuff.
