Underage LSU students busted in Alabama, accused of towing 1,800-plus cans of beer, liquor to Gulf Shores for spring break | News | The Advocate — Baton Rouge, Louisiana

Four underage LSU students heading to the beach for spring break get pulled over for expired plates.

The brainiacs give the cops consent to search the trailer that they're towing behind the car. ... and inside the cops find nearly 2,000 cans of beer, 5 liters of boxed wine and bottles of tequila, vodka, whiskey and rum.

I suspect if they had refused consent it wouldn't have been taken well.

I suspect also they might not have had immediate access to competent legal opinion.

106 eighteen packs---that about $1500 worth of Natty light.

Larry Eustachy just jumped in his car and started driving southeast.

The students, who identified themselves to deputies as fraternity members, were en route to the beach to meet “a larger group of people for the week of spring break,” Myles said.

Why not bring bottles of water instead? It would be cheaper.
