Teams playing to lose booted from playoffs

    The associations beg for this shit by running double-elimination tourneys and other formats in which losing can be beneficial.

    Change em all to single elimination: win or go home.

    Don't want teams to tank? Eliminate rules that encourage or allow it.

    That doesn't take the coaches off the hook, though. The administrator who called it out should be commended.

    In badminton and girls basketball tanking is met with harsh punishment. But in the NBA we just give it a wink and a smile. Go figure.

    Maybe it's an odd distinction, but one is trying to lose on the floor, the other is just trying to field a shitty roster. The latter is much more acceptable.

    Maybe these two teams should have a little H-O-R-S-E tournament with the two brawling Indiana boys teams.

    Why not just throw in some JV players or seniors that work hard but still kind of stink? Intentional backcourt violations and shooting at the wrong basket is making a mockery of the whole thing and pretty much begging to be punished
