    That was my thought as well. Supposedly, they had some interest in him for a set-up role before Jansen's injury. This just makes K-Rod more expensive.

    Decent throw would have had him by a mile. The question is if KC was better off putting on the left fielder and short stop to make the play than trying to get anything off MadBum.

    Bad news: Profar will be in arbitration by the time he's healthy and his value as a prospect went poof.

    Good news: He'll be dirt-cheap, and besides that, the Rangers have Rougned Odor at second. With Sardinas traded, the middle-infield logjam is broken.
