What are your thoughts on Presidential hopeful Scott Walker? I am curious about what the rest of the country (as well as Wisc conservatives like Old Tony) think of him. I admit that I lean left but I find him to be a intellectual lightweight that will be destroyed by the national media. I don't know that he is Palin stupid but, in my opinion, he is not ready for the scrutiny he is about to receive.

I'm just glad we have a place to discuss Scott Walker. We haven't had that.

I'm withholding judgement until I know his views on evolution.

Too bad he never got enough coverage for his punting ability in high school. He sure could have used that scholarship.

Fox News is reporting that some people say he could handle neither ordered nor stochastic differential equations. Worse, Wisconsin Dems are saying he never even took tensor calculus or physical chemistry. Tsk, tsk, tsk ... Presidential timber my patuckus.

He has done something that may be ostensibly for his presidential hopes that is pissing off a lot of his conservative fans in Wisconsin. He put the kibosh on an Indian casino that would have brought tons of jobs and investment in Kenosha County (between Milwaukee and Chicago). Then the tribe upped its offer to throw in more than $200 million extra toward a new arena in Milwaukee. Walker was in England for some summit about bringing a British company or two to Wisconsin, and his Dept. of Administration Secretary dismissed that offer almost immediately.

He hasn't finished his college degree at Marquette, so I'm sure the leftist media would play that up big. He's popular around the country with Tea Party conservatives for taking on public unions and winning, but I don't think he's ready for the presidency. I'll be very happy to keep him as governor, but I sure wish he would have approved the casino.

What does Walker as nominee mean? It means that eighteen or so months before the election is never too soon to compulsively piss away time doing math on the electoral map...

Unless it's a Dem blowout, a Bush/Walker (or Walker/Bush) ticket is a powerful combination. At the very least, Florida and Wisconsin are toss-up states. Throw Iowa and Colorado to the GOP and once again, the election comes down to Ohio.

He is clearly an Koch-sucking imbecile:

How could Walker possibly turn down this offer? “I think because 600 conservatives in Iowa told him he can’t win the Iowa caucuses (in the Republican presidential race) if he favors the casino."
