If only the politicians who voted it in were bound to be covered by it, too.

Just like all Americans, members of Congress are required to have qualifying health plans.

And just like many Americans, the health insurance provided by their employer is a qualifying plan.

So good news! The politicians who voted it in are "bound to be covered by it, too."

I seem to recall John Kerry offering to allow everyone else the opportunity to join the same health plan that the politicians were on. I also seem to recall he was criticized for that by a certain segment of those politicians.

They're not bitching about the plan. They're bitching about how much they must pay of the rapidly rising premiums.

It did not seem like the had co -pays previously. Good to hear that they are now joining the rest of
    the universe.

Nice crock of semantic crap. Easy to sit back and vote for something that is going to cause other people to have their plans scuttled, while lying (or buying the lie) that it won't happen. Easy to sit back and have them stuck with plans that will have rising premiums and/or unreasonable deductibles that are so high, it's like not having insurance at all. Easy to do all that knowing that their own cottage-cheese asses are covered by a plan, and terms, far superior.

Well, they could try to offer that plan to the rest of the American public ...
