To pretend that the problem with the politics thread was the tone of the political discussion is either revisionist history of the highest order or intentional ignorance. It might as well have been called the trolling thread -- although at least it contained it all to that single thread, rather than having the same stupid insults and pissing matches scattered across every thread on the board.

Jeff I believe that you have found the perfect solution. A political thread dedicated to just debating the merits of
whether to have a political threads to the the board. Its a start. Thx.

Is this the thread to talk about politics or to talk about whether we can talk about politics?

I voted for John Anderson in 1980.

    Office politics suck.

I have a small collection of political campaign buttons. "Nixon Now" is my personal favorite. Short, to the point. I remember getting it at the State Fair at the Republican booth.

Somewhere I have some pretty cool buttons. I have stuff in Richmond, DC and NYC right now and I can't ever remember what's where. Including me some of the time.

No crude humor, please. That includes boasting about your family jewels.

I thought we got extra points for crude humor? Guess not. Maybe that's why I only have 36 points.

Were they going to the outlets? Maybe Nixon wanted to pick up some Johnston and Murphy Wing Tips
